So I got called to the principal’s office

Because my daughter hit a boy in the mouth that pinched her butt. The first words out of my mouth were "Okay and?"

I'm a teacher at this school and I always try and look at things from both perspectives. But they wanted to punish my kid for standing up for herself. They said it was an overreaction on her part.

I said what the kid did was technically sexual assault and I was happy to file a police report if my daughter was going to be made out to be the perpetrator. They told me they would get back with me.

Am I in the wrong here?
