Job Summary:
Reporting to the endocrinology division head and medical director, the endocrinologist is a specialist responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases related to the endocrine and metabolic systems in adults. This role is crucial for providing medical care to both inpatients and outpatients with endocrine or metabolic pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat endocrine and metabolic diseases in adults.
- Provide medical care to inpatients and outpatients.
- Collaborate with the endocrinology division head and medical director.
- Maintain adherence to professional ethics and organizational values.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree from a recognized medical school and residency granting a license in internal medicine.
- Recognized certification in endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
- Active membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent liability insurance association.
- Membership in the New Brunswick Medical Society.
- Privileges with Vitalité Health Network.
- Registration with New Brunswick Medicare.
- 1 to 3 years of experience considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adherence to confidentiality rules set by Vitalité Health Network.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training and experience deemed relevant and equivalent may be considered.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Initiative and creativity in medical practice.
- Interest in furthering one's knowledge in the field.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary for this position is fee-for-service.
- Moving expenses allowance.
- Possibility of a recruitment incentive depending on eligibility, as determined by the Department of Health (return of service required).
