Luke & BC Should Replace Ariel

With the news that Ariel is leaving MMA Fighting and the MMA Hour, and with the continuing struggles of our boys, I think they would make an amazing replacement, would be incredibly fun with the whole MMA Fighting crew, and would have the opportunity to spread their wings once again with more content. No idea what contract situations are, and I know Luke has a rough past with Vox, but this would be a win all the way around for the fans.

EDIT: It seems many of the replies are quibbling with the idea of Luke & BC doing Ariel’s show, which is partially my fault for using the word “replace,” but I wouldn’t want to see them do what Ariel does, rather, I’d like to see them continue to do what they do, just in place of Ariel’s show. My assumption is that Ariel will continue an interview based show elsewhere, and it is my feeling that trying to move anyone else into the current format of the MMA Hour would be a failure because of this, so instead I would love to see MK (even under a different name) take his place on the network.

The other central objection is Luke’s noted contempt for certain person(s) at Vox. I have no insight into where things currently stand on that front or if it could be worked out / around, but Luke and BC both fairly regularly appear on BTL on MMA Fighting, and I love their chemistry with Mike Heck, JM II, etc. No idea what goes on behind the scenes, but Ariel is honestly my least favorite personality associated with the team there (mostly because I dislike fighter interviews), so a world in which we could plug Luke & BC into the senior role that Ariel currently occupies, while maintaining something close to the MK format, but with the additional interplay of all the other folks at MMA Fighting, would be a dream for me as a fan.

It’s definitely a long shot, but I’d love to see it. Regardless, I just hope everything works out for Luke & BC one way or another, and for all the guys associated with Ariel as well.
