Why was there only 4 cryochambers/stasis pods?

Like how jacksepticeye said, I was wondering the symbolic meaning by it or what it could mean. I know it’s probably that there wasn’t an expectation for a 5th member in realistic terms, but I know for hell there is a symbolic reason, what are your guys’s theories?
