cult classic - layered meanings kinda movies?

Had a discussion with my brother about recent movies that have a good story but can have multiple meanings and allow a lot of discussion and conversations on the message that they're trying to portray. Most of the movies I like are not recent (American Psycho, sucker punch, V for vendetta, in to the wild, jennifer's body) and he says I should stop saying all recent movies lack subtance or significance. Not movies like don't look up or the menu, movies where you really need to pay attention and think about what it means.

Any movies that more or less fit this criteria from 2015-onwards?
