Lyrics for Loch Lomond
I‘d appreciate some help figuring out the lyrics of Alastair McDonald and Leo Maguire‘s ”Loch Lomond“, namely the last part of the 3rd verse since it appears the lyrics I found online differ from what they actually sing.
Link to the song:
The first part is pretty clear:
The wee birdies sing and the wild flowers spring / and in sunshine the waters are sleeping / But the broken-hearted kens nae second spring again /
the next line I don’t get
According to google, it should either be
Though resigned we may be while we're greetin
or
though the may cease the grievin
Yet neither of these are what they actually sing.
