Surefire workaround

For those of you that are anchored to surefire muzzle devices, B&T has an adaptor that is compatible with HUB cans however….it will not mount up to a CAT ODB 718 due to clearance issues. Unsure of other cans. Getting an extension from Ecco machine also doesn’t help because the inner diameter on the extension ring is too narrow for the B&T to fit through. I did some gumsmiffin and ended up machining the end of the B&T adapter down to the threads and now it mates up perfectly. Use of the extension is optional but who knows, may help with performance adding a little extra volume to the blast chamber. Yet to try it. Also still need to check concentricity with bore.
