Creepy neighbor

I need your advice because NF parents don’t seem concerned by the comments their neighbor has been making.

When I started working there, they “warned” me about him saying he might drop by to say hello occasionally. They told me not to be alarmed if he just shows up. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it’s definitely not what I’ve been dealing with.

The first red flag was a few months into my job, around march. Right before I was getting the girls for their nap, he walked into the house without knocking or using the doorbell. He just let himself in! His excuse was that I was outside taking a walk with the girls (18 months old and recently turned 5), and he was worried about them because it was “too hot outside”. I told MB about it, and she said he does this to them all the time. She told me stories of how they’ll come back from the store to find him in the house. She said she’ll tell him not to do it when it’s just me(like it’s normal to do when I’m with anyone else???), but again she wasn’t too concerned about this incident.

There are other red flags too. Sometimes, when I’m playing outside with the girls, he’ll come outside too. He’ll get on his golf cart and drive over to us. He’ll follow us as we walk, and he’ll say creepy things to us. He often calls us the “Three Charlies angles” and compliments our looks. This comment has been made to us multiple times, even in front of DB who said and did nothing.

Over the summer, he wanted to say hi a few times, but “conveniently,” it was only on days we were using the splash pad outside. When the girls were in their bathing suits. He even bought a sprinkler and invited us to play in his yard.

The most recent comment was made today. The girls and I left the house and headed down to where NF keeps chickens. We were about halfway there when I heard him get on his cart. At this point, he already gives off bad vibes, so I quickly urged us to feed the chickens and then head back inside. As we were walking back, he pulled up alongside us to talk. The oldest girl, not knowing any better, was excited to see him. She proudly exclaimed that she had just turned five.

I wish I were making this up, he says “Oh yeahhh😉😏, you’re more like 5 going on 15,” and the way he said it. I immediately thought, “Okay, bye,” and picked up the youngest child. I texted MB, and she didn’t seem too upset. She just said, “Oh, creepy name,” and didn’t say anything else or bring it up once she got home.

I need guidance on handling this situation because I’m concerned about the girls’ safety while they’re around him. However, I shouldn’t have to worry about taking them outside because of a creep. Don’t know what to do.

Edit: I did look him up to see if he was on any list. Checked the GASOR and watchdog and didn’t find anything. Definitely going to make sure all doors are locked through the day.

He lives with his wife but he is retired and she is not. Easily in 60/70s
