Live in Nanny Pay and Contracting

hey guys i recently started to do a live in and i was working 3 12 hour days a week since MB was on maternity leave, and first NK is 2 and needed watched and help with while infant NK was with mom.

i’m starting to work 8 hour days 5 days a week, what’s a fair rate? we thought about salary to allow me to have PTO for appointments, sick days, etc etc. I will have a 2 year old and an infant to take care of. MB is wfm and she will help in emergencies, but overall it’ll be mostly me!

i’m thinking about 700 a week, as my rate prior was 20/hr for 1 NK, and this would put me about 17-18/hr for both to supplement that fact i live with them and don’t pay “rent” per say.

now the live in is primarily beneficial for me because of living complications with my family and other stuff, so they offered it to me. i think this is also important as it’s not AS beneficial for them as it is for most live in nanny families.

we’re setting up a new contract this week and i really want to make sure i get all the things in there i can. what else is improtant for the contract?? im still pretty new to the nanny world. any help is greatly appreciated!!!
