i’m grateful

i know most people vent, but i wanted to share a happy story! because nannying CAN be amazing.

i have two nks.. a 2 year old and a 3 month old.

i get paid very well, and it’s more than i have ever made in my life.(i’m 21) there was a payment issue for a bit, but mb just had a baby and has really bad post partum. once i felt comfortable that she was able to have that full conversation- we did and she back paid me for the weeks my pay was incorrect, and gave me a bonus for speaking up!! it was amazing. i feel very proud of us.

my nanny family took me in when i was in a really bad spot and i became a live in nanny. they even allowed me to bring my soul dog with me. they also give me a lot of food(it’s homemade AND they’re italian) and even bought new furniture for me. (whaaat? they’re awesome?!)

they’re currently renovating their basement and going to rent it out to me and my boyfriend to live in. this was also incredibly gracious of them to offer, and the renovation now has been made a priority by them for us.

lastly, i love my kids. i love my job. i love feeling like im a big part of their lives. they have made me a part of their family, and im so grateful (especially since my own bio family is toxic)
