Difficulty keeping roof clean with roof rack - anyone else?

Does anyone have any difficulty keeping their roof clean with the roof rack installed? I have a black defender but I noticed some water stains underneath some of the rails on the roof rack. This type of stuff drives me crazy lol. I bought it used with only 3k miles so I think some of it was already there.
