I’m thinking about selling my Sony A7II and buy a Nikon D810, does it make sense and worth it?
About a year ago i bought my first professional câmera, the sony A7ii. At the beginning it worked good. I only had a Fujifilm X100S for street photography and some film câmeras, so it was my frist step into professional photography. Now i found the sony very limited and disappointing. The autofocus is too slow, my batteries dies very fast, high noise at iso 3200 and it doesn’t fit well in my hand.
I know the D810 isnt the best option to solve this problems, but considering i can get the nikon for the same value i would sell the sony, does it worth it? I really don’t have the budget for a newer and better camera (Brazil, high prices and higher taxes), so the “trade” is the best option until I have the money to buy a newer camera.
I mostly do documentary photography and events (parties, shows etc). Maybe I just didnt adapt to sony. Also I only have one lens, FE 28 – 70 3.5 ~ 5.6 (limited budget again). Even if it is and adaption issue, is the D810 a better camera?
I’m so frustrated with the A7II that in some of the last events I photographed I just decide to use the X100S because it was more reliable and less boring
