If you could, how would you rewrite Tournament of Elements?

These are the changes I’d personally make:

  1. Because this season would have thirteen episodes like the first two seasons, I’d show a couple of scenes we never got to see, like Shade and Tox’s battle mentioned in Episode 39 (which would be episode 47 in my version) and the Ninja receiving the Zukin suits. Additionally, I’d also use the extra runtime to give some of the other Elemental Masters more development.

  2. This might be controversial, but I’m getting rid of the Elemental Dragons, with the Titanium Dragon instead being a robotic dragon (like a heroic counterpart to the Mechdragon from the previous season), since I kind of considered the Elemental Dragons to be somewhat of a deus ex machina.

  3. Include some foreshadowing of elements other than the ones introduced at the tournament: Clouse mentions how the spell only requires ‘active’ elemental masters, which is why it doesn’t require Nya’s water, Morro’s wind or the Time Twins’ time powers.

  4. Give some subtle foreshadowing behind Skylor and Chen’s relationship as father and daughter. I’d also have her become a ‘reserve’ ninja, since Chen’s Noodle House’s reputation is destroyed by its founders’ actions and it ultimately gets shut down by the authorities for being a cover for criminal activity. However instead of joining the team proper, Skylor chooses to go on a journey to learn about her missing mother and figure out her own identity now that she’s free from her father’s manipulations.
