Parents need a living will etc but can't afford one, what (non scam) options do they have?

My parents want a last will and testament to lay out final wishes, etc. They don't have much and can't afford much but after seeing family member after family member die and family fights ensue, etc they want to avoid all of that for us kids. I'm in a position to financially assist up to a certain limit, but can't pay thousands. I also wouldn't know what to do (where to bury, cremate, etc) so I seriously want it all laid out for me. What are our options that aren't some cheap scam?
