How would you get the courage to tell a friend their nudes got leaked?

Some time back I got a message from a profile that had little to no social life. They asked me if I knew this particular guy, in which I did, and told them I did know them personally.

They went on to sending me a link that pretty much had their profile and screenshots of their messages, along with their nude pics as well. I was completely shocked but curious at the same time. I did feel a little guilty because I saw their nudes without them knowing but they honestly have a good size and nice package when it comes to their dick and balls. It definitely made me look at them slightly different.

At some point I finally felt comfortable enough and had the courage to message them and ask if they knew about someone leaking and posting their dick pics, in some cases there was sex videos as well.

Of course they were upset but they seemed more upset at me about it as if I was the one who did that to them. So it made me wonder why they were even mad at me in the first place but gradually brushed it off. We’re all on good terms now but sometimes I think back to what I saw.
