Did white dog shit used to be a thing?

I've always had this memory from when I was maybe 4 or 5 of coming home from playing in this field with this white thing I found. My parents kicked off because it was dog shit. White dog shit.

I've never seen white dog shit since then or really thought about it until one day, I'm not sure if I dreamt this or it actually happened, I was reading a reddit thread something along the lines of "what's something you used to see but don't anymore?" and someone said white dog shit.

Did white dog shit used to be a thing and it somehow disappeared? Is it still a thing and you just rarely see it?
