Does any of you actually read the books?

Hey y’all, I just started nursing school and have had reading assignment’s. The books however, I don’t think they help me. If anything I feel like I am reading a bunch of information which I don’t understand. When I had to answer a couple of questions yesterday I googled the answers instead because book language is a bit harder for me to comprehend. I am also thinking of buying the survival flashcard guide from Level Up RN. What I am enjoying thus far is doing the practice tests on ATI. I just need to know more to score higher.

How are you guys studying? What has been the most effective way for you to retain information?
