OT or nursing

I need to decide between the two careers by today, but what initially attracted me to OT was being able to work with patients one on one and working in low stress environments since I struggle with anxiety. I shadowed two OTs (one who specializes in hands and neuro and the other in peds) and I found hands and neuro to be a bit boring and repetitive while peds was more exciting but I don’t think I’d work well with children.

Watching the OT meet with patients recovering from strokes was really heartbreaking because it felt like we couldn’t do much to help, and a lot of the stroke patients I was able to observe weren’t making improvements. It didn’t feel very fulfilling because many of the patients seemed as if they had lost hope because the activities the OT assigned weren’t helping. I also noticed how documentation takes a huge chunk of time away from working with patients and being able to help them. I feel like with nursing I would be making more of a difference and would be able to be more involved with a patient’s treatment. Is there a setting in OT that would fit my needs or should I go with nursing?
