An underrated Speedy
I sent this guy out for service a few months ago and finally got it back this weekend. I had forgotten how much I enjoy these Speedy Racing models.
I think the movement is hilarious. Omega crammed pretty much every single thing they could into it. Column wheel and vertical clutch? Check. Date? Check. Jumping hour hand? Check. 12hr bi-compax chronograph? Check. Double barrel? Check. And the list goes on.
I found it interesting that this watch, which is 14.x mm thick, visually wears thinner than even my Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT. It's a testimate to how effective Omega designers are when it comes to hiding the bulk of their watches.
What do you guys think? Still some love out there for the chunky watches?
