These are Adam and Rave

Adam is a participant of the Encaged Birds Death Matches, forced to participate after trying to kill Cro, the leader of the most powerful criminal organization as revenge for turning his mother into a monster.

Meanwhile Rave is Cro's sister; she designed most of the technology used in the Encaged Birds Death Matches and she's a brilliant scientist who created thousands of clones to perform all kinds of jobs efficiently with their shared genius

When Adam was young he slipped on ice and injured his knee pretty badly, but a kind clone of Rave healed him and she was Adam's first crush, but once he grew up, after trying to kill Cro he was stabbed in the heart, and the original Rave gave Adam a synthetic heart. Adam was shocked to see that the original Rave wasn't kind at all, and instead she was a cold and emotionless egotistical genius who could only perceive the world through experiments and science, but Adam found Rave's wild personality even more attractive than the first clone he met.

Adam eventually declared his love for Rave, asking her to give him one chance and take it as an "experiment" with the promise that he would show Rave what real love was, and eventually they managed to overcome tons of obstacles and their love became capable of piercing the heavens
