Out of your personal winners in this decade so far, which acting category reigns supreme?

My acting wins for each year are...

2020:

  • Adarsh Gourav, The White Tiger
  • Jasna Đuričić, Quo Vadis, Aida
  • Paul Raci, Sound of Metal
  • Yuh-jung Youn, Minari

2021:

  • Anthony Ramos, In the Heights
  • Agathe Rousselle, Titane
  • Masaki Okada, Drive My Car
  • Ruth Negga, Passing

2022:

  • Paul Mescal, Aftersun
  • IU, Broker
  • Barry Keoghan, The Banshees of Inisherin
  • Gabrielle Union, The Inspection

2023:

  • Andrew Scott, All of Us Strangers
  • Teyana Taylor, A Thousand and One
  • Milo Machado Graner, Anatomy of a Fall
  • Sakura Ando, Monster

I'd say that by a pretty comfortable margin, the weakest of the four groups is probably Supporting Actor, still love all 4 dudes there. Actor is a really interesting and kinda mixed bag, the years were either pretty underwhelming (2021, 2022) or absolutely killer (2020, 2023). Andrew Scott is almost certainly my single favorite of any of these 16 performances, though. I see a lot of strength in both of the female categories but I think the Lead ones, especially some of the totally fresh and novel performances from winners + runner-ups of mine like Rousselle, Yeoh in Everything Everywhere, Mulligan in Promising Young Woman, and several others as really pushing acting forward and frankly leaving the guys in the dust. What are your guys's thoughts and lineups?
