The 5win event fostered my growth as a player.

This event really pushed me to think outside the box. Every battle required focus on my actions, predicting my opponent’s plays, and evaluating victory routes. It was about understanding my deck composition, analyzing my opponent’s deck from the limited info available, and improving my strategy over time. I genuinely feel like I grew as a player.

The win counter reset was critical for this growth. In the previous 45 win event, the stakes felt low. It didn’t matter if I won or lost, just that I kept playing. So I used an 18-Trainer deck, zoned out, and grinded through the games winning about half of them. It was efficient, sure, but mindless.

This event was different. It rewarded effort and made this badge feel earned. Not everyone needs gold on every event, and I hope we see more challenges like this in the future. If you hit silver this time, aim for gold next time. Let it reflect your growth as a Pokémon trainer.

I hope to see more events focused on battle, and not the grind, in the future.
