Realism regarding mannerisms of prehistoric fauna

First and foremost I do recognise that the latest documentaries on dinosaurs and prehistoric life in general have been remarkable in the production and attention to detail and are more focused to deliver a more loyal scientific interpretation and I personally do like them but I noticed that constantly the mannerisms of these animals seem to be quite off perhaps for dramatic purposes but they seem more human like instead of abrupt and animalistic, a very evident example is the frog part in prehistoric planet. Among other licenses they are taking, a predator roaring to a pray is very inefficient and hardly ever seen in wildlife since predators are supposed to not scare away pray but actually stay as silent and in perceptible as possible. Other creative licences that I didn’t mind and actually encourage were taking scientific guesses from fossil data and bird behaviour. What are your thoughts on this? I will further continue saying that dinosaurs have eye rings and therefore they will have to turn their head much more often than a mammal and their eye position would be similar to that of a bird. This also influences the mannerisms of a dinosaur. Maybe the big ones wouldn’t turn their heads as fast as a bird but the overall behaviour would still be there.. I’ve also found some videos on YouTube of pitched down bird calls and since birds came from dinosaurs, maybe dinosaurs were as dextrous as birds in their calls. Regarding Roaring, a roar sounds more like a mammalian feature. I’d be Interesting to low pitch the sounds of tiny mammals to see how they may resemble big mammals’.
