Baby seeing angels?

Anyone else’s baby wake up in the middle of the night and just sit up with eyes open for hours without crying or talking?

I can’t find any information about this online. He wasn’t sleeping with his eyes open and I don’t think it was insomnia because he wasn’t crying. He wasn’t even holding his lovey which he always holds. He woke up at 3am (maybe earlier but that’s when I saw him in the camera) and was sat like that for two hours before I finally took him out. It’s definitely not that he got enough sleep. Very strange and a bit creepy!
