Would you send your child to childcare if you could afford not to? Why / why not?
Hi all, would love to hear from parents regarding the above. My baby has been trying to transition into daycare and is having a horrific time. There’s lots of tears from him but then also from me (when I get in the car lol) and I’m just not sure if I’m able to do it despite knowing that there are benefits to him going. My mom is willing to watch him and would prefer to do so anyways as they have a very close bond (I’m a single mom). Would you send your child to childcare if you could afford not to I.e if you didn’t have to work full time or had a family member willing to step in? Genuinely would love to hear to your advice. And absolutely no judgement from me towards parents who choose to send or not send. I’m still figuring all of this out and what works best for him/us. Thank you!
Edit: absolutely blown away by the amount of comments from all of you lovely people sharing your experiences and knowledge with me! I’m still reading all the comments! It’s been so eye opening and really helpful so I can make an informed decision regarding my son’s daycare options. You’re the best!
