Birth Control - Hormones - Pain

46/F Lexapro, Busprione, Iron, Multi, Slynd 4mg(birth control), gastric bypass. During my last gyno visit this summer, my doctor swapped my birth control. I was too old for microgestin, and my blood pressure was getting up there(oddly enough, perfectly fine since switching). I had been putting off swapping, because I didn’t want to put on weight, and it did wonders for me. She talked me into switching to Slynd, and figured it was the right thing to do.

Was working fine, up until I had my period. It was flashbacks to before I got on birth control. Famished, glass case of emotions, and the worst part - the pain. My right hip/side of stomach hurts so much - it only happens during my period(this would prior to birth control) . I haven’t had cramps like this in YEARS. When I was younger I used to have horrific cramps(I’d miss school/work, vomiting) - from 13 to 28 I lived on Napoxen when I was having period. The pain/cramps went away when I was on the microgestin, but since I’m on the new meds - it’s like I’m starting over again, and I feel unhinged. I know I’m ’too old’, but should have I have blood work done to see if I can take anything else on top of the new birth control? And I apologize if I’m being overdramatic, but could this be endometriosis? Something I’ve always wondered, but figured I was overreacting. Thanks.
