why is makoto nijima so popular?

i never really liked her from the start. i dont have any strong feelings for her, i just dislike her. mostly because of how the cast was dumbed down the moment she joined. but besides that, why is she so popular? i just dont see the appeal.

this is not hate to anyone who likes her, i just wanna see what makes people like her
