Idiocracy

Im not officially an expat but I may aswell be-I was born here but lived in Malaysia as an expat for 12yrs before moving to Canada for university and eventually becoming a citizen. I've lived in canada for 18yrs and truly consider myself a Filipino canadian than just the "filipino" I thought of myself for years although I was never fluent in tagalog.

I come back here every Christmas to visit my parents however, I am 4wks into this trip and I can feel my mental health deteriorating more than any other trip here before.

The idiocracy of this society-terrible drivers, literal clowns running for office and getting in, inefficient infrastructure and systems, it's such a system of ass backwardness that I can't unsee and it is mentally crushing personally.

I don't understand why anyone would choose to be an expat here, I'm sure some of you can understand the frustrations im talking about and surely there is a way you guys choose to cope
