Short bar on snakebites?

So I got snakebites yesterday, and so far they seem to be healing normally. They’re pretty crusty and bruised but that’s to be expected for any snakebites. However I was looking at them just now and there seems to be a thin layer of skin encroaching on the piercings, and when I pull it back it looks like there’s two rather large craters under the metal. Should I be concerned? I plan on calling my piercer in the morning, but I just wanted to ask on here first out of curiosity.
