Anaesthesiologist showed me pictures of capybaras when I woke up from surgery

I (26F) had my first ever surgery on Wednesday, where I had to get my tonsils removed. I’m autistic and tend to ask a LOT of questions when nervous. After what must have felt like an in-depth interview with the nurses, peri operative nurse, surgeon and anaesthesiologist about the procedure, I had one more question while I was on the operation table ready to be passed out. So I asked them about their favourite animals.

They asked mine, and I told them it was capybaras. The surgeon didn’t know what they were, so I started telling them how they’re the largest rodent native to South America. As I was passing out due to the anaesthesia they told me to think of them.

Woke up from surgery with the anaesthesiologist next to my bed with his phone showing me pictures of capybaras he had seen at the zoo recently. I swear I felt like I was hallucinating but it really happened. He really didn’t have to do this at all but I’m so thankful he did.

Edit: minutes after this I had to be rushed into surgery again lol cause I was having a bleeding. Although it’s still very painful and I can barely eat I’m recovering well now! Thanks for everyone’s get well wishes.
