How to store Pokémon cards

Hello everyone :) I’m pretty new to collecting Pokémon cards and yesterday I got my first four packs and opened them. I don’t know what I want to collect yet but I loved every card I got. But I don’t know how to store them. I bought a binder, sleeves, and toploaders. My first initial thought what putting every card in a sleeve and the really cool ones in a toploader. But I saw some videos of guys discarding 9 out of 10 cards of a pack and only putting one in a sleeve+toploader. Is it stupid to put the common cards in a sleeve/toploader or how do you guys do that?
