Earning Ember

I finally saved and spend 100.000 ember for the rose petal applause recall.

Now have to start over for Mourn and - I didn’t know yet - prestige stuff for the Hero.

But I earn about 100 ember but if I win a game with a Hero that has a low level I got around 1000?

How is the fastest way or trick to earn the most without paying money?
