Anyone else feel “stuck” on Preply because of student commitment?

Hey everyone,

I’m in a tricky spot right now. I initially joined Preply just for fun and a little extra income, but tutoring has taken over so much of my life that I barely have time for other things—especially my actual career path. The more I tutor, the more attached I become to this platform.

But here’s the thing: I can’t keep going at this pace. My original plan was never to make tutoring a major part of my professional life. Now I’m considering only keeping the few students who truly rely on me and “cutting” the rest, simply because I need to refocus on my main career. I feel bad about possibly leaving some students behind.

Has anyone else faced this situation? How did you handle the guilt of stepping back from some of your students? Would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Thanks!
