Second thoughts because of his second term.
Here really just to express the great anxiety of looking to apply to PsyD programs next year under Trumps administration. I am 33 years old and I have poured every ounce of myself into going back to school, having a 4.0 GPA and working full time to now fearing the future of loan repayment, which is already deplorable. The anxiety is making me rethink my entire dream, the only one I have ever actually had. I don’t want to be an alarmist, and I know I am jumping the gun as we have no clue if threats to subsidized loans, and aid have real weight. Also, everything put in place in the next 4 years can be overturned completely in the next administration. Nonetheless, I am feeling incredibly unnerved.
In a moment of allowing myself to face uncertainty and grant myself the permission to have an open mind about my future. I’m sorry if this bums anyone out, I just think it is incredibly important for us all to truly go into this massive financial commitment with our eyes wide open- ready for all possibilities.
