Detailed/Unusual Visual Hallucinations?
I have bipolar type 1 disorder but I never fully experience psychosis. However, I do at times get a bit delusional or see bugs and walls/floors breathing especially in the evening.
I've never had any auditory ones, only visual but I've had two very interesting occurences when I wake up in the middle of the night. I know these are hypnopompic hallucinations which can happen to anyone and are quite normal but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had similiar ones (in actual psychosis or in anything else) to what I'm experiencing as I can't find anything on the internet.
At night i see items moving in the wind that are simply not there. There was once a golden key swinging in the wind and last night I saw one of my towels moving in the wind and floating high in the air. I looked for a reflection next to the mirror and it was there doing the same exact thing. With all the right colors and detail. I almost instantly realize that these are not real since I'm inside a house in my bedroom and there's no wind here but I find these intriguing. Why was there a golden key? The towel was really random but the way it manifested was really interesting especially since it had a detailed reflection in the mirror. The whole windy reaction to these items is odd to me.
What are your most interesting visual hallucinations? Have you experienced similar to mine?
Disclaimer: I know that for many ppl hallucinations are often scary and cause high distress. I'm interested in the detail and obscurity of these hallucinations.
