Realtor confused us about new law?

We are going to sell our house and we asked our agent how the new law will affect us as sellers and what we pay for commission. She told us all it really changes is more paperwork for everyone to sign. But our listing fees paid remain the same as before the law.. So before the law, she had said we would’ve paid 5% and she said that is still the same now. We’re confused because we thought now the buyer could pay half of the commission?
