When is it a bad batch?

I was excited for this one as I don't have a sparkly purple, but no matter what lighting I try, I have brown nails. Not an ugly brown, thankfully, but the sparkle is barely purple up close and at arms length, my nails look chocolate brown at best.

Obviously I understand that the promo pictures have professional lighting and editing, which I can't replicate with a phone camera in my bathroom. That being said, I'm hugely surprised and disappointed. I've never complained about misleading color before, so I don't know the criteria. What does it take for y'all to reach out to the brand?
