Blue tang disappeared

I got a baby blue tang 2 weeks ago and it was doing great for the first few days, then I noticed it would hide more and more and stopped eating as much. It’s now it’s been about a week and I haven’t seen it at all. I’m assuming it hid in my rockwork and starved to death? Are my assumptions likely correct or is this typical behavior for a young blue tang?
