Porus one packets

Hey! My kitty just got diagnosed with kidney disease (vet said between levels 3 & 4) and she gave us porus one to give him. I know to give it two hours AFTER a medication, but what about before? He's on Sucralfate 1/2 tab 2x a day and Ondansetron 1/2 tab 2x a day. Between my sleep and work schedule (overnights)& his lack of appetite (trying to free feed so he actually eats some and I can keep him away from the other cats) he's getting his meds (9am) a bowl of food when we go to bed (12pm-9pm) and then getting meds again (9pm). We were thinking about coming home on lunch (2am) and give him his bowl of food with the porus one in it, and take it away when we get home (7am). Would this be enough time between medications? I'm nervous about the "before medication" times, I can't find anything online about it.

Edit: We've considered changing meds to 7am/7pm, and giving food at 9 and taking away at 2 but still unsure if that's enough time between eating the food and his medicine :(
