Is Sparks Nevada safe?

Is Sparks Nevada safe for a 22 year old girl to move to alone? I’m moving to Nevada from California for nursing school and was wondering if Sparks is a decent safe area being that I will be living alone. Specifically near the Sparks Marina park since there’s some apartments I’m looking at over there. Any insight or recommendations would be appreciated!!
