Inconsiderate Attendings

I am from a small community program in north east. Being a pgy3, I was overseeing 20 patients today and helping 2 interns on the other team with troubleshooting.

The attending with the other team, I can't believe how she did this. So it's one of the interns first weekend without senior and she freaking give this new intern 9 patients!! She stayed till 9 in the hospital!

I had my 12 notes and admissions to do, so unfortunately i couldn't help her out enough.

I can't believe how inconsiderate this attending was. She knows new interns get overwhelmed easily because they're not familiar with the work flow of new hospital.

I am not defending the interns. My only concern is, on their first few days, if they don't have seniors who is directly supervising the team,then attending should off load few pts.
