Business major in mid 30's (not in sjsu yet)

I have been in the military for a good portion of my 20's and recently got out to focus on school. Currently attending De Anza for business admin 2.0 focus on accounting. I plan to transfer to SJSU this fall. I do have a question though, what is the process like if I wanted to let's say switch to MIS.

Im going to be honest, going back to school in mid 30's I am struggling with Math and had to switch from CS to business to transfer. I am still confident in doing math but I'd prefer whatever is lesser in the math portion.

Also, do you guys think in mid 30's would MIS be beneficial?
