As luigi what do I do against fox

I actually don't completely hate this match up because comboing fox is fun and I feel like I'm decent at edge gaurding him, but I feel like against any decent fox I get shined once and because I'm so slippery I slide off of ledge and then they run off and shine me one more time and I die. Is there anything I can do to avoid this other than trying to hold center stage and not getting hit by the first shine?
