“Average people” sketches of suspects are not average at all
I am binge watching SVU and I’ve seen more than once an average person offering to draw the agents a sketch of a suspect they saw once and deliver a perfectly proportioned drawing with outstanding likeness to the perp. Have you tried to draw people you know from memory? Even trying to draw cartoon characters from memory can be disastrous! And even when the drawing looks “good” getting the likeness is hard. Elliot’s constant abuse of power being allowed and going unnoticed was a bit fanciful, but the awesome sketches from average people suspend my suspension of disbelief XD What do you think?
