What do local bakeries do when Eggs cost this much?
Just bought eggs this morning. 18 pack of single A for $9.99 at Grocery Outlet (sketchy unknown brand).
I know it's because of the bird flu and everything, but I was just wondering about trickle down effects. Are my Safeway Blueberry Muffins going to start tasting different because they have to switch to some substitute? (Safeway muffins are underrated by the way, just make sure to buy them the day they're made) Is Freeport Bakery temporarily spiking their prices due to the cost of eggs, or do they just deal with it?
