Prejudiced diners

I visited Paragary’s today for brunch, and the people seated next to us were apparently unhappy that their eggs benedict was not hot. After calling over the server to complain way longer than anyone ought to, one of the older men at the table asked whether “they speak English in the kitchen”. Why this was a necessary question is beyond me, but the people of color around picked up the meaning. To people like this that dine out, I hate to tell you that there may be non-white, non-English speakers that are employees. If you can’t behave decently stay home. Or better yet, there was a Trump rally in midtown you could have joined today with like-minded people instead.
