Best units for Salamander Army

Hi everyone,

Brand new to 40k so my approach might be wrong. I am starting with Salamanders as my first army and out of the many options out there “, which units would you recommend for 10th edition to start with for the 1000pt mark?

Some forums suggested building around Assault units for that up close and personal tactic that salamanders are famed for.
