What is your satisfactory philosophy?

I've been playing with the goal of 100% efficiency, nothing from the miner to the final product ever stops moving. No backups. The result of this, strangely, is relatively small factories. I don't need a factory producing crazy high amounts of anything because what am I going to do with it?

Anyway, I'm wondering if there are settings I'm missing for drones, so for the first time I look up videos from creators and they're making these HUGE factories with thousands of plastic per minute or whatever, and it's all backed up. 80% of the power towers in that factory are yellow.

So I'm wondering, what do yall do? Way overproduce every piece so no matter what the final manufacturer will run at 100% even if nothing else in the world does? Or run lean? Or some third option?
