The site I just purchased from has 2 different URLs—was it a fake copy stealing my info?

Hi, I recently made my first purchase from HouseofCB, a fashion company where dresses usually cost around £200. This is not in my budget, but I kept getting ads for a huge spring sale where I could get 5 dresses for £36—obviously way more in budget.

I had looked into HouseofCB before purchasing at all, and I found out on TrustPilot that they are a Chinese company and sometimes the quality is a bit iffy. But the majority of bad reviews were complaining about return policy whereas the good reviews were really positive, so I thought for the much cheaper price point I could try them once and see. I was also less suspicious of this high sale because I thought their production costs might be low enough to have an extreme sale once in a while.

The site I was on looked exactly like the HouseofCB site to me, but just a spring sale landing page. However, I started to be nervous afterwards because the emails I received came from service@bscwnk even though the name displayed as HouseofCB.

My second concern came when I tried to tell a friend about the sale and realized I could still find said landing page via the confirmation email, but didn’t see a mention of the sale if I searched the site directly at their normal URL.

All this said, I really don’t know if it’s suspicious, or if there was just a sale they’re using as an ad campaign that shows up at a different link. Sometimes sites based overseas do have some technical weirdness to them. I’ve had email addresses, payment pages etc look weird at times when it was legitimate but just a foreign company. But if it really is a scam I am going to be so bummed to need to cancel my card etc 😔 I was already scammed a few months ago (not my fault that time, someone must have leaked my card info) and I’m not in the mood!

I reached out to the main site to ask if the sale was real but haven’t heard back yet. Please let me know if you have any advice. Thank you!
