Is it worth sacking Philippe Clement now?

Just to preface this by saying it's not a shit post lol - just genuine thoughts about the situation.

If I'm the Rangers board, I'm probably not sacking him now and here's why.

The league? It's done. It's over. As long as Clement does enough to keep Rangers in 2nd place I don't see any reason to sack him because he's not getting first this year. Celtic are just not going to drop enough points to let that happen.

Here are the main 2 reasons he might be kept in the job at least until the end of the season.

Europe: Fair enough failing to qualify for the CL, however the results in Europe have looked solid, with the most notable results being 4-0 FCSB , 4-1 Nice and a 1-1 draw against, albeit an underperforming, Tottenham.

Rangers only have 2 games against Man United (a probable loss) & Union St.Gilloise who I would expect them to beat, this would give them a good chance at top 8 in the Europa League & getting more money into the club.

Scottish Cup: This is Rangers realistically only chance left of lifting silverware this year.

As much as it pains me to say this, Clement clearly has a working gameplan against Celtic. You could argue they were the better team in the cup final and failed to capitalize on many chances. The game on the 2nd also shows that whatever way Clement has Rangers setting up against Celtic is clearly effective. You're expecting Celtic and Rangers to meet in the final again, provided they don't draw each other before that, so as long as Rangers make the final I can see him keeping his role until then. Having Clement in place for a cup game against Celtic is probably the best chance Rangers have of winning the whole thing.

You could essentially risk bringing in another manager that has zero gameplan against Celtic and risk an absolute humping.

Would Rangers fans endure a few more months of shite football away from home and average football at home if it also meant a deep European run and lifting the Scottish Cup?
